Pipework Systems in Different Plastics

The right material for the right application

We pioneered the use of Thermoplastics in the manufacture of our chemical storage tanks, and we’ve transferred our knowledge and expertise in these materials to design and build Pipework Systems in Polypropylene, High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), PVC and PVDF.

The material used for each application depends on many factors; what is being transferred, the details and demands of the application and environmental considerations.

Pipework Systems in Polypropylene

Polypropylene (PP) pipework is a versatile material we use in a variety of applications due to its broad range of chemical resistance, durability, and versatility. We’ve created Pipework Systems in PP for the following applications:

  • Chemical processing
  • Water treatment
  • Dairy and food processing
  • Waste and effluent transfer
  • Water and wastewater treatment
  • Ventilation and fume extraction

We design each Pipework System to the specific demands of the application and our team of Site Engineers provide professional installation services.

Pipework Systems in High Density Polyethylene

High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipework is used in a wide variety of applications due to its durability, flexibility and resistance to corrosion and abrasion. We’ve created Pipework Systems in HDPE for the following applications:

  • Water treatment
  • Chemical processing
  • Mining and slurry transfer
  • Wastewater and effluent systems

We specialise in using HDPE (high-density polyethylene) due to its durability, high tensile strength and operating pressure characteristics. Our team of Site Engineers have installed Pipework Systems in polyethylene all around the UK.

Pipework Systems in PVC

PVC (polyvinyl chloride) pipework is a versatile and commonly used material for a wide range of applications as its lightweight, low cost, easy to install and has good resistance to corrosion.

  • Water supply and distribution
  • Wastewater and effluent drainage
  • Chemical transfer
  • HVAC systems

PVC is typically not suitable for high pressure or temperatures and it’s essential to choose the right type of PVC pipe (e.g., schedule 40, schedule 80, or CPVC) based on the specific requirements and environmental conditions of your application.

Pipework Systems in PVDF

PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride) pipework is a high-performance fluoropolymer material known for its durability and excellent chemical resistance to a broad range of acids and organic solvents. It is often used in applications where extreme resistance to aggressive and corrosive chemicals and elevated temperatures is required. We have designed and installed Pipework Systems in PVDF for the following applications:

  • Water treatment
  • Chemical processing
  • Mining and slurry transfer
  • Wastewater and effluent systems

We specialise in using HDPE (high-density polyethylene) due to its durability, high tensile strength and operating pressure characteristics. Our team of Site Engineers have installed Pipework Systems in polyethylene all around the UK.

“Please pass my sentiments and thanks to the two gentlemen who attended site to conduct the pipework replacement. This was a professional installation, well executed and installed to a high standard.”
