Storage for Ferric Chloride, Ferric Sulphate and Aluminium Sulphate
Ferric Chloride, Ferric Sulphate and Aluminium Sulphate are used as Coagulants and Flocculants to remove impurities such as sediment, organic matter and pathogens to make water cleaner and safer.
Coagulants are used to destabilise the particles of these impurities and flocculants bind the particles together, so they are easily separated from the liquid by settling or filtration.
Many industries generate wastewater as part of their processes including; chemical manufacture and treatment, food processing, mining, textiles, pulp and paper manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and water treatment.
The chemicals used as coagulants and flocculators require careful handling and storage. We can provide storage and transfer solutions to safely contain them from point of delivery through to bulk storage. We manufacture storage tanks in Thermoplastics which are compatible and offer temperature and UV protection.

Chemical Characteristics
Ferric Chloride: is a strong acid with excellent ability to remove phosphates and heavy metals, it’s widely available but should be avoided where corrosion control is critical.Â
Ferric Sulphate: is less corrosive than Ferric Chloride and gives good performance particularly in applications where sulphates are acceptable.Â
Aluminium Sulphate: is corrosive, widely available and low cost and typically used in the treatment of drinking water.
Coagulant and Flocculant Solutions:
The Chem Resist team were really good to deal with, from initial sales enquiry to specification development, through to final design.
The Install team came prepared with all relevant information, Design drawings, MS and RA and completed the work on time to a high level of quality.
