Tank Inspection Service

Tank Inspections following EEMUA Publication 225

EEMUA Publication 225 ‘Above ground plastic tanks: a guide to their specification, installation, commissioning, inspection, maintenance, repair and disposal’

Inspections are of paramount importance when a Thermoplastic Storage Tank is in service.  The frequency of these is wholly dependent on the chemicals being stored, with this being a risk-based approach.

At Chem Resist, we believe that any inspection should be undertaken through a 3rd Party, which maintains impartiality in the reporting of any findings and necessary outcomes.  As such, Chem Resist are able to facilitate independent 3rd Party inspections.

The introduction of EEMUA Publication 225, ‘Above ground plastic tanks: a guide to their specification, installation, commissioning, inspection, maintenance, repair and disposal’ led to a new direction in the requirements of the inspections; the publication is available to purchase here. EEMUA Publication 225 supersedes Guidance Notes PM86 ‘Thermoplastic tank integrity management’.

Chem Resist sat on the committee for EEMUA Publication 225, sharing years of extensive knowledge within the field, culminating in the production of the new guidance.

The updated GRP Tank Inspection Guidance Note PM75 mirrors the thermoplastic tank guide, this and other technical references are available to view in our Resources section
