Chem Resist commit to training and development
Chem Resist have a continuing stream of Apprentice Fabricators, ensuring seamless transitions when some of our mature Fabricators move on to retirement. The in-house training programmes, supported by our own Welder Training School and collaboration with local Education Partners is now embedded and works extremely well.
Welder Training & Testing is ongoing for all our fabricators, with re-testing taking place every 6 months on all weld types, ensuring the highest quality welds in all areas.
Our most recent addition to the fabrication team is Callum Brown, joining us in July 2018 and progressing well in the early stages of his apprenticeship. With Plastic Fabrication being such a niche market, good quality fabricators are valuable, meaning that succession planning is the key to maintaining optimum build quality.
On reflection of the fabricator training, coupled with the increasing number of young adults who decide not to pursue Higher Education & burden themselves with financial commitments, Chem Resist decided to look at similar routes for Technical Sales & Office Administration.
The last 3 months have seen the recruitment of Gemma Hocks within our growing Fluids Transfer Division, along with Daniel Crosse into Technical Sales.
Gemma joined from an office environment and is now undergoing in-house training, as well as an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration through CMS Vocational Training.
Daniel served an apprenticeship in Valve Manufacturing, undertaking Further Education in Mechanical Engineering. His role within Chem Resist will see him experience all facets of the business, with bespoke training to suit & the potential for sponsored Higher Education.
