COMPACT, SELF-CLOSING VACUUM BREAKER VALVE

The Vacuum Breaker Valve available in PVC and PP features the same sensitive diaphragm design as the Non-Return Valves allowing them to respond to a minimum of vacuum approximately 2″Hg (6.8kpa).

The Plast-O-Matic Series VB and VBM Vacuum Breaker Valves have only one moving part – the patented self-sealing diaphragm, and this provides both design simplicity and maximum operating dependability. This seal protects enclosed tanks from structural collapse or damage during draining, eliminates siphoning of dangerous fluids and prevents vacuum damage to sensitive instruments and filters. This normally-closed design seals in identical locations every time producing a very dependable, long-life seal.

Materials of construction: Series VB is available in PTFE in sizes ½” ¾” and 1″ in a wide range of materials and connection types. Diaphragms are of EPDM or FKM (Viton). Fasteners used on PTFE Series VB are stainless steel and are NOT in contact with the process liquid.

Vacuum Breakers open automatically in response to minimal vacuum to prevent unwanted siphonage or collapse of storage tanks. Vacuum breaker valves automatically seal bubble tight when not in use.

Compact, self-closing Vacuum Breaker Valves protect tanks and piping systems against hazards, damage and financial losses caused by vacuum. The VB Vacuum Relief Valve available in PVC and PP features the same sensitive diaphragm design as the Non-Return Valves.
