Workshop Engineer for Fluid Transfer Division
Strong consistent growth across the organisation has driven expansion within the Fluid Transfer Division and a vacancy has arisen for a Workshop Engineer.
Based in Dewsbury, the Fluid Transfer division supplies specialist pumps, valves and level controls typically for aggressive applications involving corrosive chemicals.
Working with a select range of premium brands, including Almatec, Munsch, World Chemical and our own ChemiGuard the division distributes products and supplies supporting services across both the UK and Europe.
The role of Workshop Engineer is fundamental to the day-to-day operation and plays an integral part in helping to achieve KPI’s and business objectives.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Assembly & testing of pumps and associated equipment
- Fitting of ChemiGuards to customer and application requirements
- Completion of test / repair documentation
- Inspection, fault finding and overhaul of pumps
- Picking & packing of goods for despatch
- Monitoring of stock levels
- Receiving & checking deliveries from suppliers
- Site work for pump repairs / inspections etc. when required
Key skills and requirements:
- A ‘can do’ attitude, capable of working independently and as part of the wider Fluid Transfer team
- Flexible in approach and able to accommodate daily challenges and changes in priority
- Excellent attention to detail, able to follow processes and procedures
- Experience of working with rotating equipment with a solid engineering background preferred.
- Previous fabrication experience would be welcomed, however full training will be given as part of the probation period and ongoing development plan.
- Literate with Microsoft and ERP packages
Job Type
Full time and permanent role with normal working hours of
- Mon-Thurs: 8am-16.30pm
- Friday: 8am – 15.15pm

- Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per year, hourly rate is dependent on experience.
