Heavy Gauge Polypropylene Etching Tank
Chem Resist’s Heavy Gauge Polypropylene Etching Tank is Corrosion Resistant Inside and Out.
In harsh environments such as steel pickling or etching, corrosion of vessels and equipment can be a real headache.
Working with a major UK metal processing client, Chem Resist Group Limited’s process plant division has developed a technique to form 40mm thick polypropylene sheet so as to construct a 10m long, 4 m wide and 2.5 m deep solid polypropylene picking vessel.
The construction, as well as being totally rigid thanks to 40mm thick polypropylene sheet, is also totally corrosion resistant against the chemicals used in the process both inside and outside of the vessel. This corrosion resistance, which was a main concern of the customer having had problems with the exterior of his previous vessel corroding and causing worrying looking cracks and discolouration.
Another great benefit of the Chem Resist system is that if additional nozzles or connections are required they can be simply welded into the existing material. If the vessel was rubber lined or Glass Fibre and you needed to change a nozzle location work would be required to ensure that the lining was made good again. With Chem Resist all one material system this is a thing of the past.
Chem Resist have a comprehensive web-site with a download section where you can access more information on there manufacturing systems and how it compares to the older traditional methods such as GRP and Rubber lining.
Chem Resist design and manufacture a full range of process equipment from small day tanks through to fully automated chemical blending systems and tank farms and SCADA control throughout.
