Chem Resist push the boat out for top client

When Neil Williams, Manager of our Fluid Transfer division in Dewsbury, received a Mayday message from the Chief Engineer of a luxury motor yacht based in Monaco, it was all hands to the pumps to get the boat’s guests back in the swim...

The yacht is owned by one of the world’s richest and most respected businessmen* who uses the boat for corporate entertaining, and the boat’s Chief Engineer needed two new and more efficient pool pumps urgently for the onboard swimming pool.

“The swimming pool onboard can be filled with either fresh water or sea water but the existing pumps would not take suction from the water retention tanks below the pool” says Neil. “There was also a limited amount of both space and time!

The engineer responsible for sorting the problem had spotted on the Chem Resist website that we are the proud UK distributors for many of the world’s leading pump manufacturers and he despatched an urgent message to Dewsbury for a quote and some expert advice from our experienced team about the best pumps for the job.

Within hours the deal was done and the pumps despatched to Marseille where the yacht was temporarily dry docked.

“We were pleased to be of help” says Neil “In fact you could say it all went swimmingly!”
