Chem Resist 40 years old - so what ? Can our longevity offer any benefits for our customers ?
Arthur Armitage, our founder, had a vision in 1964 that there was a future in the application of corrosion resistant thermoplastics. Initially this was using Polypropylene tubes and fittings to convey acids & alkalis in the local chemical and steel manufacturing industries. Later the advent of sheet materials made vessel fabrication possible and complete all thermoplastic chemical storage systems could be offered. Chem Resist has developed from this early base to be one of the largest design, manufacture and installation specialists in corrosion resistant thermoplastics in Europe. We are proud of our achievements and would like to share a few with you The World's largest diameter Spiral wound tank manufacturing capability - at 4m in diameter we offer vessels in Polypropylene and High Density up to 100,000 litres capacity. All plastic Sulphuric Acid Dilution plant developed for the automotive and industrial battery industry. These PLC controlled fully automatic units are now working every day in plants around the world in countries such as Czech Republic, Poland, Russia and Egypt. Turbulent Contact Absorbtion Fume Scrubbing Units developed by Chem Resist provide efficient corrosive gas cleaning with the elimination of ‘salting’ in the packed beds to the Chemical, Electronics, Effluent Treatment, Glass Processing and Pharmaceutical industries |
